This class is for those that wish to attain their concealed carry pistol license for New York State. This 18-hour class provides the training required under NY Penal Law §400.00(19).

At Freedom Factor, we prefer to run this class in small groups of seven students, with each student having one-on-one instruction time for the live fire range portion of the class. We believe this provides students with the best training leading to safety and proficiency. (NOTE: To take this course you must already have a NY sportsman or dwelling pistol license).

This is a 3-hour program is designed for those looking to acquire their NY pistol license.

We will assist with the application process for a Suffolk or Nassau County pistol license and teach the basics of firearms safety and shooting. (Note: It’s completely possible to navigate the pistol license process on your own. Our service provides guidance and support through this arduous process making it easier and eliminating your time being wasted.) Most importantly, this course prepares you for safe and responsible firearms ownership.

There is no live fire component to this course

This is a 3-hour program designed for those that already have acquired their New York State Pistol License but have limited to no handgun experience.

A comprehensive safety class that incorporates the fundamentals of pistol shooting. Approximately 2 hours of off-range instructional time followed by one hour of practical range exercises.

Note: Students must bring 100 rounds of ammo for their handgun

This is a 3-hour program designed for those that mainly intend to have a firearm for the purpose of personal home protection.

The course focuses on firearms safety as well as special safety concerns related to a firearm being utilized for home defense. The session will be tailored to the type of firearm the trainee intends to utilize for home defense (handgun, rifle, shotgun). In addition to safety, this course will focus on the unique concerns associated with utilizing a firearm within a dwelling for self-defense. The trainee is entitled to an optional assessment of their homes tactical advantages and disadvantages. Note: This course does not dispense legal advice regarding the use of a firearm for home defense. Freedom Factor LLC is not a law firm and we recommend such concerns be addressed with appropriate legal counsel.

This is a 2-3 hour program designed to teach the basics of shotgun safety and shooting.

This class will cover important safety protocols and then provide live fire instruction on a sporting clay course. This course will prepare those wishing to get started shooting skeet, trap, and sporting clays.

Students have a choice of this course being taught in two hours with approximately 45 minutes being dedicated to safety and 75 minutes being dedicated to shooting instruction or upgrading to a three-hour program with two hours and 15 minutes of shooting instruction. We recommend the three-hour program for those with little or no shotgun shooting experience.

Note: Students will need to own an appropriate shotgun or we can arrange for a rental at the range.
